Missions

Development of image analysis for "single molecule Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (smFISH)". Analyze and process the results within the framework of the team's research projects.

Activités

Develop image analysis methods for single molecule Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (smFISH).

Perform experiments in cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemistry.

Conduct scientific and technical monitoring.

Analyze and process biological data.

Write up results in the form of scientific articles and present them to my supervisors.

Supervise interns: provide guidance in protocol implementation, share good laboratory practices, and monitor experimental results.

Compétences

Knowledge

Development of image analysis pipelines (R, Python, Fiji)

Principles of epifluorescence and confocal microscopy and image analysis

Basic knowledge of transcriptomic analysis (RNA-seq)

Laboratory hygiene and safety regulations

Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)

Technical Skills

Maintenance of C. elegans strains

Cell imaging: immunostaining, in situ hybridization (FISH), proficiency with confocal, epifluorescence, and slide-scanning microscopy systems

Image analysis: code development

Transcriptomics: RNA-seq data analysis using Galaxy

Writing and optimizing technical protocols

Keeping detailed laboratory notebooks

Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, RStudio, and specialized microscopy software

Oral presentation of results during team meetings

Contexte de travail

Integration within the Epitranscriptomics team at the Institut de Biologie Valrose

Working conditions (hours, workload, on-call duties, specific constraints, travel, required protective equipment, sites, authorizations, etc.):
Full-time position (100%), variable working hours depending on experiments, wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) according to experimental requirements.

Work environment (specific features of the structure/laboratory affecting the position or involving multiple sites):
Based primarily in the Natural Sciences Building, with occasional work in the Biochemistry Building.

Resources provided (equipment, computing, etc.):
Laboratory bench, laboratory notebook, and laptop computer.
