Job Description
Missions
The HolobiomicsLab at the Institut de Chimie de Nice (ICN), led by Dr. Louis-Félix Nothias, is seeking an technician to develop and optimize semi-automated sample preparation protocols and AI-assisted acquisition methods. This position is part of three ANR projects: POPS, CPJ, and MetaboLinkAI.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing protocols for the preparation of natural and clinical extracts, as well as data acquisition on an Orbitrap IQ-X system, using AI tools developed within the laboratory.
Activity
Semi-automated sample preparation:
Develop and optimize sample preparation protocols using an Opentrons pipetting robot.
Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sample preparation.
AI-assisted data acquisition:
Configure and use AI tools for semi-targeted data acquisition on an Orbitrap IQ-X system.
Ensure the quality and reproducibility of acquired data.
Management and documentation:
Maintain detailed documentation of protocols and results in a digital laboratory notebook.
Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards.
Collaboration and training:
Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams (chemists, biologists, computer scientists).
Participate in the training of students and young researchers on analytical techniques.
Your Profil
Skills
Technical Skills:
Degree in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or related field.
Experience in sample preparation for mass spectrometry.
Knowledge of automated sample preparation systems (Opentrons pipetting robot).
Experience with mass spectrometers.
Organizational rigor and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Autonomy and teamwork skills.
Good communication skills (written and spoken English).
Ability to solve technical problems.
Your Work Environment
The Institut de Chimie de Nice (ICN) offers an interdisciplinary research environment with access to state-of-the-art facilities, including an Orbitrap IQ-X system and an Opentrons pipetting robot. The successful candidate will join the HolobiomicsLab and contribute to research projects in metabolomics and exposomics.
