Missions
In the context of the MetaboLinkAI project, you will contribute to the design and development of an innovative user interface intended to facilitate the exploration and querying of a multi-omics knowledge graph. This module, achievable over 5 months, aims to provide researchers with an intuitive platform integrating generative AI, capable of processing and visualizing complex multi-omics data from various sources.
Activités
• UI/UX Design and Prototyping: Participate in defining functional requirements and in designing interactive mockups for a user-friendly interface tailored to researchers.
• Front-End Development: Implement the interface using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or equivalents) and ensure smooth communication with the backend.
• Integration of Generative AI: Collaborate with the AI team to integrate generative AI features, enabling the interpretation and reformulation of user queries on the knowledge graph.
• Knowledge Graph Management: Work closely with multi-omics data experts to ensure that the interface allows dynamic and intuitive querying of graphs (based on standards such as RDF, OWL, SPARQL).
• Testing and Validation: Establish user testing procedures and functional validation to optimize the interface's performance and ergonomics.
• Technical Documentation: Write and maintain detailed documentation of the developments carried out and the technical choices made.
Compétences
• Technical Skills
• Proficiency in Python as well as modern front-end languages and frameworks (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Angular, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of graph databases and knowledge representation standards (RDF, OWL, SPARQL).
• Understanding of the principles of generative AI and its integration into application environments.
• Experience in developing interactive applications and in UI/UX design.
• Familiarity with collaborative code management (Git) and agile methodologies.
• Interpersonal Skills
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and communicate with experts in AI, bioinformatics, and software development.
• Autonomy, rigor, and adaptability in the face of technological advancements.
• Initiative and a strong focus on continuously improving the user experience.
Contexte de travail
The position is based at the Institut de Chimie de Nice, within the HolobiomicsLab, and is part of a collaborative dynamic with the teams of the MetaboLinkAI consortium. You will work under the direct supervision of a research engineer and in close collaboration with specialists in artificial intelligence and multi-omics. An international and interdisciplinary working environment, fostering synergy between researchers and developers, will be provided.
Contraintes et risques
• Collaborative work on codebases requiring exemplary rigor in version control and development management.
• The need for close coordination with various teams to ensure the consistency and optimal integration of the developed solutions.
• Strict adherence to production deadlines in an innovative and evolving research context.
• Risks associated with screen work (ergonomics, etc.).
