Missions

• As a software engineer in charge of implementing and deploying our platform, you will join a multidisciplinary team.
The goal is to develop a software platform for analyzing and evaluating Machine Learning (ML) code and for building or using Large Language Models (LLMs), with a strong focus on assessing adherence to FATES properties (Fairness, Accountability, Transparency, Ethics, Safety).
• Your main mission will be to design, implement, and deploy an operational architecture that enables profiling, evaluation, and knowledge extraction from ML code by integrating the work of the team and supporting its transition into a production-ready environment. The platform is expected to be accessible to external users within one year.

Activités

- Platform Development & Operations: Develop, maintain, and operate the software platform for ML/LLM code analysis, ensuring it is functional, scalable, and ready for external access.
- Integration of Components: Integrate software components and tools developed by other team members into a unified, operational architecture.
- Tool Integration & Deployment: Implement and manage tracking tools (e.g., Weights & Biases) and ensure smooth deployment of the platform on community repositories such as Hugging Face.
- Code Analysis & Evaluation: Explore and process large ML/LLM codebases to identify practices, anomalies, and patterns related to FATES properties.
- Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with researchers, PhD students, and engineers in a multidisciplinary environment, and supervise interns involved in the project.

Compétences

- Technical:
• Strong knowledge of web architectures.
• Proficiency in Python; familiarity with React and Machine Learning is a plus.
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) or similar approaches is an advantage.
- Personal qualities:
• Rigor, autonomy, and proactivity.
• Strong motivation to learn and adapt.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary research team.

Contexte de travail

You will join a CNRS research team in close collaboration with INRIA, bringing together professors, research engineers, and PhD students.
- The position offers a stimulating environment with strong national and international visibility, including collaborations with research groups in Toulouse, Lille, and Hamilton (Canada).
