Missions
In regional ocean/ice/biogeochemistry models (OBMs) applied to Arctic coastal seas, the properties of
terrigenous sediments are rarely integrated into physical and biogeochemical processes. To address this
gap, the missions will consist of (i) effectively integrating sediments into these OBMs, (ii) comparing them
with ocean color measurements and products, and (iii) analyzing the effect on CO2 fluxes at the air/water
interface.

Contexte de travail
The project is part of the international Refuge-Arctic project (https://www.refuge-arctic.ulaval.ca) with
links to the NASA FORTE project, whose overall objective is to better understand and predict the role
played by the land/sea interface in the physical and biogeochemical response of the coastal Arctic Ocean.
The postdoctoral project will be conducted at UMR7266 LIENSs CNRS-La Rochelle University. Scientific
supervision will be provided by Professor Vincent Le Fouest (LIENSs).
The working environment is highly interdisciplinary and international.
Work in a restricted access
zone (ZRR), i.e., with regulated access in order to protect national scientific and technical potential.
Le poste se situe dans un secteur relevant de la protection du potentiel scientifique et technique (PPST), et nécessite donc, conformément à la réglementation, que votre arrivée soit autorisée par l'autorité compétente du MESR.
Contraintes et risques
Academic stays abroad (max. 1 month) are possible and should be expected.
