Missions
The Marseille Cancer Research Center (CRCM) is recruiting a Research Engineer on a fixed-term contract to join the DOSynth Chemistry Platform, under the supervision of Dr. Sébastien Combes, to develop an ANR-funded project in the field of nutrition.
In collaboration with the group of Emmanuelle Reboul at the Cardiovascular and Nutrition Research Center (C2VN), the recruited candidate will design, synthesize, and characterize functionalized vitamins to help identify transport proteins in the context of nutritional deficiencies.
Activities
Design and carry out the synthesis of vectorized fat-soluble vitamins
Monitor reaction progress and characterize the products formed
Select appropriate synthesis techniques and protocols; develop procedures and operating methods to generate a small series of derivatives
Conduct structure–activity relationship (SAR) studies to maintain affinity and selectivity for transport proteins
Write procedures and reports on synthetic results
Maintain scientific and technical watch
Manage basic supply needs and equipment
