Missions
The overall goal of the project is to investigate new functionalities of the SLX4 tumour suppressor in the maintenance of genome integrity and their relevance to the response to chemotherapy
Activités
You will develop your project (design, planning, realization and interpretation of various experiences) independently.
Main tasks:
-DNA cloning and amplification by PCR
- Tissue culture
-Genetic engineering (CRISPR-Cas9)
-Immunoprecipitation of protein and chromatin from cell lysates
-Expression and purification of recombinant proteins
-In vitro enzyme activity tests
-immunofluorescence
You will be in charge of discussing and communicating your results within the team, the institute and with collaborators.

Required Skills :
- An excellent knowledge of the mechanisms that maintain genome stability
- Experience in cellular and molecular biology
- Experience in cell culture
- Autonomy and ability to lead a collaborative project
- Excellent communication skills and team spirit
Profile required:
- Recent PhD in cellular and molecular biology
- Ability to work in a team and collaboratively
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic
- Excellent practice of written, read and spoken English essential
Contexte de travail
You will work closely with other team members. You will have access to all laboratory equipment and common equipment of the centre as well as to its platforms and technical platforms.
Contraintes et risques
The successful candidate will join the "Control of structure-specific endonucleases and genome stability" team led by Pierre-Henri Gaillard in the Genome Integrity department of the Cancer Research Center of Marseille (CRCM). The CRCM is affiliated with Inserm (UMR1068), CNRS (UMR7258), Aix-Marseille University (UM105) and the Paoli-Calmettes Institute (IPC).
It includes nearly 450 people in 19 teams and 18 technological platforms/platforms coordinated in the form of a Core Tech. It is a center with more than 25 nationalities represented, collaborating with the largest national and international institutes and member of multiple cancer research excellence networks.
