Missions

The candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of projects related to the generation of camelid monoclonal antibodies (Nanobody) for medical diagnostics. He/she will contribute to molecular interaction studies and functional studies in connection with the collaborators.

Activities

- Follow scientific and technical development in the field of the activity.
- Plan, design and analyze experiments, ensure project follow-up (written reports, PowerPoint presentations, data management...).
- Prepare and execute Nanobody generation studies.
- Prepare and execute interaction studies by ELISA and BLI.
- Be in charge of the analysis and interpretation of biophysical results.
- Share scientific knowledge and results with the team leader and project participants.
- Be in charge of the quality and reliability of scientific results.
- Contribute to the life of the laboratory (equipment maintenance, ordering of consumables, organization of the laboratory...).

Skills

- Ph.D. in molecular or cell biology whit prior postdoctoral experience.
- Expertise in cell culture (eukaryotic cells).
- Expertise in biochemistry and molecular biology.
- Knowledge in membrane protein.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent collaboration skills, demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills, and work effectively under deadlines.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changes in strategy or work processes.
- Innovative and adaptable
- Excellent communication skills and ability to report and present data to colleagues and management

Work Context

The Host-Pathogen Interaction (HPI) team of the LISM laboratory in Marseille is looking for a highly motivated and inquisitive candidate, ready to explore and apply technologies dedicated to the generation of monoclonal antibodies (Nanobody) and to the characterization of biomolecular interactions.
The candidate will be under the responsibility of the HPI team leader and will be expected to conduct nanobody generation and biophysical interaction projects using state-of-the-art instrumentation, including BLI technology.
