The recruited person will have to participate in the research work of the team to develop their expertise in the field of low-power embedded AI. It will participate in the technological maturation of the tools and technologies developed, in scientific and technological monitoring and in the evaluation of LEAT's research solutions in comparison with the state of the art.
The recruited person will participate in ongoing projects for the integration of artificial neural networks on SoC and will notably develop the software tools that will facilitate this deployment: compression and quantification of networks, automatic generation of optimized code, Quantization Aware Training, communication management between the MCU and the accelerators.
The recruited person will participate in the work of writing scientific publications, supervising internship students and technical support for doctoral students in their use of the software frameworks used by the team.
- PhD in computer science or electronics
- Subject related to embedded AI
- Knowledge of digital electronics, embedded systems, artificial neural network micro-controllers and spike neural networks
- know-how in compression of artificial neural networks
- Expertise in at least one Deep Learning framework
- programming in C/C++ and Python

The LEAT laboratory specializes in antenna design, microwave imaging and on-board electronics.
The position is offered within the EDGE team which works on Edge Computing and in particular on-board AI. The EDGE team has developed recognized know-how in this field, in particular through the 3IA Côte d'Azur institute.
The recruited person will work under the direct supervision of Professor Benoît Miramond. The recruited person will participate in the technical supervision of the team's thesis work.
