Missions

The postdoctoral fellow will belong to the “Biology of GPCR Signaling System” (BIOS) in the jointed research Unit “Physiology of reproduction and Behaviour (PRC,INRAE UMR85, CNRS UMR7247, Université de Tours, IFCE). He/She will work under the supervision of the ERC Starting grant coordinator to study one of the molecular substrates of social interaction in the field of Autism spectrum disorder and well-being in farm animals.

Activités

The position will involve several aspects:
- Developing behavior tests
- Study one of the therapeutic target of social interaction in vivo
- Validation of some targets in patients and farm animals
- Publication of individual and collective research articles based on the generated data of the project
- Publication of all the data in free access repository

Compétences

Applicants must have a PhD in Neuroscience especially in rodent behavior. Candidates must have published at least two publications as first author on related project topic. The project includes an international mobility: therefore, the applicant should not have stayed in France for more than 12 months in the last three years. Experience in biochemistry, immunofluorescence, confocal microscopy, stereotaxy/surgery, In situ Hybridization and omics would be a plus as well as a FELASA B or C degree or equivalent. Essential criteria are excellent oral and written communication and argumentation skills, critical analysis, adaptation, risk management, writing of research article and English speaking and writing.

Contexte de travail

The postdoctoral fellow will belong to the CNRS, one of the most well-established French research institute in the World. Our unit is a jointed research unit between the CNRS, INRAE, the University of Tours and IFCE, located at the Loire Valley INRAE research center. Our research center is really unique with the possibility to work with many animal models. The postdoctoral project belongs to the topic of the research unit and the BIOS team, which provide with the ERC starting grant all the financial and materiel support.
