Missions
We are looking for a highly motivated post-doc to join our research team at the Center for Interdisciplinary research in Biology of the Collège de France (Paris). We study the mechano-chemical processes that produce positional information during embryogenesis, and how these dynamics shape the phenotypic landscape of natural patterns. We take advantage of variation and trends in the avian skin pattern
(i.e. feather and colour distribution). Further information about ongoing research in the Manceau lab can be found at www.manceaulab.com.
Activités
The anticipated project aims at uncovering early developmental factors instructing conserved colour pattern domains. It will involve phenotypic surveys, expression analyses, and field work.
Compétences
The ideal candidate has expertise in experimental embryology, molecular biology, imaging and evolutionary genetics. The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and initially funded for two years. We welcome applications from all backgrounds. Applications should include a CV, research statement, and contact information for three scientific referees, and directly sent to Marie Manceau (marie.manceau@college-de-france.fr).
