Missions
Under the supervision of an economics researcher, the successful candidate will be working primarily on a project to forecast migrant flows in France. To this end, the engineer will process the data made available to him/her by the Direction Générale des Etrangers en France (DGEF). In detail, he/she will be required to develop the most suitable models for forecasting the various types of migratory flows, based on various econometric models and estimate future migration flows by category over a two-year horizon.

- Drafting of publication proposals

Contexte de travail
The postdoctoral researcher will work in the EconomiX laboratory (UMR7235). EconomiX is a research laboratory of the University of Paris Nanterre and the CNRS. It is part of the CNRS INSHS and is attached to the economics and management section of the CNRS National Committee. With around 180 members, EconomiX is one of France's leading centres in economics. Its research activities are structured around three main themes: Transitions, Environment, Energy, Institutions, Territories; Behaviour, Rights & Welfare; International Macroeconomics, Finance, Commodities and Financial Econometrics.
The post offers the possibility of teleworking in accordance with CNRS regulations and the needs of the department.
