Job Description
Missions
In this project, the research assistant will investigate how different sensory modalities—including the less-studied senses of olfaction and touch—give rise to the same social concepts regarding individuals, using a combination of neuroimaging and neurophysiology. These approaches represent a first step toward understanding the neural mechanisms underlying the formation of social concepts in primates.
Activity
The Neurophysiology of Social Cognition team at the Paris Brain Institute is seeking a research assistant interested in studying the neural bases of social cognition. We investigate the neural mechanisms that represent the social network structure of humans and non-human primates and transform social perceptions into social knowledge. We employ a combination of ethological testing in primates, neuroimaging (fMRI), neurophysiology, and large-scale data analysis to explore these questions: www.sliwalab.org.
