Missions

This position is part of an ANR-funded fundamental research project on DNA methylation in colorectal cancer. The tasks of the person recruited will be to carry out molecular and cellular biology experiments in the context of this project, under the direct supervision of the team leader.

Activities

Perform experiments in cell culture, molecular biology and bioinformatics. Presentation of results to team leader, team and collaborators.

Skills

Expert level in molecular biology, mammalian cell biology, epigenetics. Good bioinformatics skills.

Work Context

The host unit has 6 to 8 teams working on epigenetics and chromatin. The host team comprises 8-10 people (researchers, technicians, students). The working language is English. The laboratory is fully equipped for cell culture (L2 and L3 for virus production), and for molecular biology (benchtop equipment, robotic pipettors, PCR machines, etc.). Each person has his/her own desk and computer.

Constraints and risks

No particular constraints. The risks are those common to all laboratories where biological experiments are carried out: biological risk (handling of cells and viruses), chemical risk (reagents used for experiments), machine risk (laser, centrifuges).
