Job Description
Missions
This postdoctoral project proposes to develop multi-elemental alloys for hydrogen compression. These alloys have recently shown very interesting performances in this field thanks to their very high chemical versatility. Nevertheless, the compositional space is very large, making it difficult to find clear composition-structure-properties correlations. In this context, we are looking for a 30-month postdoctoral researcher to carry out a study on hydrogen sorption properties in these alloys and their composition-structure-properties correlations in collaboration with project partners.

- evaluation of hydrogen storage and compression performance
- participation in experiments at large-scale instruments
Your Profil
Skills
- knowledge in materials science, with particular emphasis on alloys and hydrogen storage
- in-depth knowledge of X-ray diffraction and large-scale instruments (synchrotron)
- rigorous organization of work, teamwork, communication, report and article writing
Your Work Environment
This post-doctoral project is based on a partnership between several international laboratories, Institut de Chimie et des Matériaux Paris-Est (CNRS, France), Institute for Energy Technology (Norway), Sandia National Laboratories (USA), Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Monastir (Tunisia) and HYSTORSYS (Norway). The successful candidate will be involved in several parts of the project: materials synthesis, physicochemical characterization and hydrogen sorption and compression performance evaluation. The successful candidate will be based at ICMPE.
