The goal is to provide conformational and structural information to complement structural biology techniques.

Activity

- Design, perform and interpret mass photometry, native MS, HDX-MS and cross-linking MS on a series of mulitprotein complexes.
- Bioinformatics interpretation of data.
- Monitor project(s)
- participate and present results in consortium meetings.
- Write reports.
- Present, disseminate and promote achievements.
- Ensure traceability of analyses as part of LSMBO's quality approach (ISO9001 environment).

- Advanced knowledge in bioanalytical chemistry, mass spectrometry-based protein analysis.

Operational know-how :
- In-depth knowledge in intact protein analysis using mass spectrometry
- Knowledge in nanoLC-MS/MS proteomic analysis;
- knowledge in HDX-MS and/or XL-MS (chemical crosslinking MS).
- Master liquid chromatography (reverse-phase chromatography) and tandem mass spectrometry techniques;
- Master specific tools and software for reprocessing mass spectrometry data (Dynamix, Proteome Discoverer, MaxQuant, etc.).
- Manage work in an ISO9001-certified environment;
- Communicate with internal and external contacts;
- Work as part of a team in a multidisciplinary environment;

The IPHC is structured into 4 departments and has a total staff of 393 staff including 257 permanent staff (ie 119 researchers and teachers / researchers and 138 engineers and technicians), 46 staff on fixed-term contracts and 102 doctoral students.

The Post-Doctoral researcher will be welcomed into the BioOrganic Mass Spectrometry (LSMBO) team of IPHC. The LSMBO is part of the IPHC's Department of Analytical Sciences (UMR7178, CNRS / Université de Strasbourg), and comprises around fifty permanent and non-permanent staff (researchers, engineers, PhD students, postodcs and student trainees).

The postdoctoral researcher will interact on a daily basis with all LSMBO staff, including mass spectrometry engineers, computer scientists and bioinformaticians. He/she will also interact with collaborators from outside the laboratory.

The recruited person will be placed under the responsibility of Sarah Cianferani
The candidate (M/F) will have access to a staff restaurant, partial reimbursement of transportation costs, a works council, the possibility of teleworking one to two days per week for some activities , subject to the agreement of the LSMBO team manager, and training to adapt to the job.
