The mission is to develop the tools of the MicMac software chain to be able to process data from Corona satellite platforms as part of a research project aimed at developing tools for measuring telluric deformations by satellite imagery.


The activity consists of developing mathematical modeling tools to take into account the Corona platform and to implement them in the Micmac software chain.


The expected skills for this position are :

- Knowledge of the Python programming needed,
- Good knowledge of the specific problems of the earth sciences.

Work Context

The work will be carried out within the tectonics team of the Institute of Physics of the Globe of Paris (IPGP), in collaboration with the colleagues more specifically in charge of the image processing part. As the work is being done as part of a project in collaboration with the National Institute of Geographic and Forest Information (IGN), an important collaboration with the colleagues of the IGN will be put in place.
