Contexte de travail
The Institut de la Mer de Villefranche (IMEV, CNRS/Sorbonne University) has five missions: research, initial and continuing training, science mediation, scientific hosting, and ocean observation (now under OSU STAMAR). Research at IMEV covers oceanography in its biological, chemical, and physical aspects (Laboratoire Océanographique de Villefranche – LOV), as well as cell and developmental biology of marine invertebrates (Laboratoire de Biologie du Développement de Villefranche – LBDV).
Science mediation is one of IMEV's core missions. Through various projects and activities, a dedicated mediation team shares knowledge and disseminates scientific news to the general public, and young people in particular (culture-ocean.com). This approach combines digital tools (web platforms) with face-to-face exchanges (school interventions, conferences, public events). It aims to provide access to Ocean sciences and marine scientific culture, with flagship programs such as the international adopt a float educational initiative (running since 2011).
