Job Description

Missions

The young researcher (post-doctoral level) will conduct neurophysiological experiments in healthy humans to stimulate peripheral nerves, then quantify the perceptual responses (e.g. intensity, realism).

Activity

The researcher will recruit healthy participants to take part in neurophysiological experiments, during which cutaneous stimulation will be applied to the peripheral nerves of the limbs and neuronal perceptual responses will be measured. The person will analyze these responses and summarize the results in scientific articles.

Skills

Knowledge: Basics of neuroscience, particularly sensory physiology
Skills: Conducting electrophysiological experiments in humans
Soft skills: Good interpersonal skills, teamwork, patience, and rigor

Your Work Environment

Within the SomatoSense team, the candidate will be responsible for conducting the necessary experiments for a project on peripheral nerve stimulation in humans.
