Missions

The post-doc will be recruited in the CORIA Optics and Lasers department and will be in charge of implementing ultrafast optical imaging techniques (time-stretch imaging and burst imaging) dedicated to the study of high-speed phenomena. In particular, she/he will have to demonstrate the implementation of such “all-optical” techniques in the frame of high-speed flow and materials. The post-doc will work with permanent researchers as well as PhD students. She/he will also have to strongly interact with the GPM laboratory, a partner laboratory of the CORIA.

Skills

Recent thesis in optics ;
• sound knowledge in laser physics, ultrafast metrology and ultrafast instrumentation ;
• knowledge in data analysis ;
• fluent English and French, both written and spoken;
• Ability to work in a team on multi-disciplinary projects.

Work Context

The CORIA laboratoty is a mixed research unit (UMR): CNRS, University of Rouen Normandy and INSA de Rouen. The post-doc will join the Optics and Lasers department and will rely on the already-available ultrafast metrology tools as well as on the on-development optical diagnostics platform. Strong interactions with the neighboring GPM laboratory (material physics) are scheduled.

Constraints and risks

Short periods of travel within France and abroad should be expected.
