Missions
The CLEARRN Center invites applications for a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher specializing in zeolites and porous materials, with a particular focus on biomedical applications and green chemistry. The project combines fundamental and applied research with the training and mentorship of early-career scientists, aiming to develop innovative and sustainable materials for health and medical technologies.
The selected candidate will contribute to advanced research projects on functionalized zeolites for biomedical applications and participate in organizing workshops, seminars, and outreach programs. They will have access to state-of-the-art synthesis and characterization facilities and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts in zeolite chemistry, advanced analytical techniques, and catalysis, all within a green and sustainable chemistry framework.
Activités
• Conduct high-level research on zeolites and porous materials for biomedical and sustainable applications.
• Mentor and train early-career researchers in both theoretical and practical skills.
• Collaborate on advanced synthesis and characterization projects using green chemistry approaches.
• Organize and participate in seminars, workshops, and scientific outreach programs.
Compétences
- Must have a doctorate in chemistry, chemical engineering or material science.
- A relevant experience in materials chemistry is mandatory.
- An experience in spectroscopic characterization of inorganic materials (IR, Raman, NMR)
-We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to be the link between two teams working in material science
- Efficient in oral and written communications.
- Mastery of oral and written English is mandatory.
Contexte de travail
The project will take place within the framework of the Labels d'excellence Center for zeolites and nanoporous materials, CLEARRN - CNRS managed by Dr. Svetlana Mintova ( Director of Recherche, CNRS, LCS UMR 6506, Caen). The work will be carried out at LCS - Laboratoire Catalyse & Spectrochimie (https://www.lcs.ensicaen.fr) located in Caen (Normandy).
The LCS has built its reputation on the preparation of zeolites and related porous materials, operando spectroscopy and catalysis. Combining very strong poles in synthesis, infrared spectroscopy, but also Raman spectroscopy, LCS occupies a unique place to perform competitive research of the highest level in the field of porous nanomaterials. The selected candidate will be attached to UMR6506.
