Missions
The goal of the project is to develop new, safer catholyte chemistries while achieving improved performance in all-solid-state lithium batteries.
Activities
Modifying the chemical composition of the catholyte through innovative approaches, which involves the synthesis of new materials. Evaluation of additives within the cell. Assembly of all-solid-state batteries and physical characterization of the constituent materials using electrochemistry, spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and microscopy.
Skills
Solid-state electrochemistry, physical measurements, and materials chemistry. Advanced expertise in all-solid-state batteries is essential.
Work Context
The recruited postdoctoral researcher will be based at the Institut des Matériaux de Nantes Jean Rouxel (IMN, UMR 6502, [http://www.cnrs-imn.fr](http://www.cnrs-imn.fr)), which currently brings together more than 130 researchers (chemists, physicists, and materials engineers from CNRS and the University of Nantes), administrative and technical staff, and 90 research contract staff. Research activities, focused on the design, characterization, and optimization of materials, are organized into five interdisciplinary research teams.
