Job Description
Missions
The postdoctoral researcher will participate in the experimental development of pulsed fiber laser architectures operating around the 2-micron wavelength. The focus is on achieving high flexibility in laser operation, including control via artificial intelligence algorithms.
Activity
The primary experimental work is coupled with numerical simulations of the fiber laser's ultrafast internal dynamics. Team-based work with individual responsibilities. Weekly reporting in English. Interaction with external collaborators. Writing of reports and scientific papers; presentations at national and international conferences.
Your Profil
Skills
Theoretical and practical knowledge of the following fields: lasers and optical fibers, ultrafast optical characterization, and nonlinear optics.
Independent use of programming languages: MATLAB and/or Python.
English proficiency: B2 level required.
Strong writing and communication skills. Comfortable working in a team.
Your Work Environment
Project funded by the Franco-Indian CEFIPRA initiative, focused on developing pulsed fiber lasers for biomedical applications.
International collaboration between CNRS-Université de Bourgogne and IIT Hyderabad. Primary working language: English.
Constraints and risks
Adherence to laser safety protocols for near-infrared wavelengths (1.5 and 2-micron spectral ranges).
