Job Description
Missions
As part of an Inserm PCSI project, the postdoctoral intern (M/F) will be responsible for synthesizing bimodal aza-BODIPY-macrocycle probes, characterizing them in solution (particularly in terms of photophysics), and bioconjugating them to an antibody targeting lymphomas and certain solid tumors.
Activity
Conduct a literature review to identify the most relevant target molecules in the field.
Synthesize bimodal probes and perform their full characterization (NMR, mass spectrometry, photophysical properties, etc.).
Perform their bioconjugation to the target antibody, followed by studies on the resulting bioconjugates (degree of labeling (DOL), stability, affinity measurements for the targets, etc.).
Actively collaborate with the other teams involved in the project.
Attend monthly meetings, present results to the project team, and contribute to the valorization of the findings (writing publications, presenting results at an international conference).
Your Profil
Skills
Strong experience in organic synthesis, particularly with fluorophores and coordination chemistry.
Experience in photophysical measurements, including handling a spectrofluorimeter and interpreting data.
Knowledge of bioconjugation techniques.
Soft skills:
Autonomy and self-confidence
Motivation, rigor, and reliability
Strong organizational skills
Intellectual curiosity and critical thinking
Comfortable with teamwork and interactions with colleagues from different participating laboratories.
Your Work Environment
The recruited individual will carry out their missions within the Institute of Molecular Chemistry of the University of Burgundy (ICMUB, UMR 6302, ZRR zone), as part of the SMol team. Their work will be conducted under the Inserm project "Interdisciplinary Approaches to Oncogenic Processes and Therapeutic Perspectives: Contributions of Physics, Chemistry, and Engineering Sciences to Oncology" (BOND: Development of Bimodal Probes based on Wazabys for CD20 targeting and therapy approaches).
The position is located in a sector subject to the Protection of Scientific and Technical Potential (PPST), and therefore, in accordance with regulations, your arrival must be authorized by the competent authority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR).
Constraints and risks
The risks associated with the position are those typically encountered in any chemical research laboratory (handling acids and bases, solvents, organic compounds, inorganic compounds, metal complexes, etc.).
