Missions

Perform flow experiments with particle suspension inside microfluidic devices in order to optimize the features of the reactive coating of iron hydroxide.

Activities

-Handle particulate suspensions in confined channels (Microfluidic devices)
-Optimize the drying of the suspension inside the microfluidic device in order to form a reactive porous medium.
-Perform fluorescence experiments to evaluate the reactivity of the porous medium with the antibiotics.

Skills

-Microfabrication for microfluidic devices
-Handling of fluids during microfluidic experiments
-Bright-field and fluorescent microscopy
-Basic knowledge in physical-chemistry
-Ph.D. in physics, chemistry, or material science
-Be able to work in a team and in a multicultural environment
B2 level in English and/or capability to write and read presentations in english

Work Context

This projet will take place in 'Institut de Physique de Rennes, UMR6251-CNRS. Le candidate will work in the divided matter team that comprises fifteen researchers that work on the colloidal and granular matter.
This job is financed by the ANR INFLOW, dedicated to the reactive transport of antibiotic suspensions within a porous medium with reactive surfaces.
