The researcher will work within the Condensed Matter and Electroactive Systems team of the ISCR on the theme of photoelectrochemistry. He (she) will work on the preparation and the electrochemical characterization of a new generation of photoelectrodes.

The candidate should have a doctorate in chemistry and strong skills in materials science and electrochemistry. Experience, knowledge or solid notions on the electroplating of metals and on chirality will is desired for this project. A strong motivation for research, the mastery of scientific English as well as an ability to work in a multidisciplinary group are required.
Important: the candidate must have spent at least 18 months abroad (outside France) between the 1st May 2017 and the 27th May 2022.
The Institute of Chemical Sciences of Rennes (ISCR-UMR6226) is a Joint Research Unit associating the CNRS, the University of Rennes1, the ENSCR and the INSA. This institute results from the regrouping of all the academic strengths in chemistry on the Rennes site. It brings together more than 290 permanent staff with an overall workforce of nearly 500 people divided into 8 teams. The researcher will be recruited into the MaCSE team and will work under the supervision of Gabriel Loget (CR CNRS). This project will be carried out in collaboration with the University of Bordeaux and the University of VISTEC in Thailand.
