Missions

The candidate will be in charge of a research project to study the physical and electrical properties (dielectrics, resistivity, thermoelectricity, etc.) of various molecular materials under laser irradiation. The job involves developing the measurement methods already envisaged by the project leader, as well as drawing up proposals tailored to the laboratory's needs. Candidates must be able to demonstrate their ability to implement a solution from “idea” to functional realization. 12-month contract, renewable for a further 12 months.

Activités

-- Perform physical measurements and analyses of dielectric, resistive and thermoelectric properties.
- Measure thermal properties using DSC.
- Implement a thermoelectric measurement device on single crystals and pellets, and couple it to laser irradiation.
- Determine the Seebeck coefficients and ZT “figure of merit” of various materials.
- Electrical measurements on a multifunctional magnet dedicated to physical measurements (PPMS): at different temperatures (2 - 400 K)
- Interfacing instruments if necessary (labview) and programming the analysis part (python, Origin...) - Preparing samples for measurements (e.g., making contacts on small fragile crystals or on pellets)
- Proposing and developing new methods of analysis and sample preparation (e.g., samples sensitive to contact with air). Propose and develop new methods of analysis and sample preparation (e.g. samples sensitive to contact with air).
- Interpret, analyze and report data, and produce deliverables according to an established format: activity report, experimental protocol - The candidate may be required to contribute to scientific publications.
