Job Description
Missions
This research aims to contribute to a better understanding of the relationship between the effects of groundwater fluid flow and past variations in ground surface temperature.
Activity
Numerical modelling (COMSOL / OpenFOAM / MATLAB / C++);
Presenting, disseminating and promoting the results;
Writing reports and scientific publications;
Co-supervising students;
Contributing to project planning and coordination within the research team.
Your Profil
Skills
Experience in computer programming (MATLAB, Python, R, C++)
Strong quantitative understanding of geological fluid flow
Strong expertise in reservoir modeling or hydrodynamic modeling
Ability to lead a research project independently
Proficiency in English (reading, speaking, writing)
Excellent writing skills and analytical abilities
Capacity to communicate and promote research findings
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Familiarity with high-performance computing environments
Experience with data visualization and scientific reporting
Your Work Environment
Géosciences Rennes (GR) is one of Europe's leading groups in the field of hydrogeology. It is a joint research unit affiliated with CNRS and the University of Rennes, comprising 60 permanent researchers. It hosts around 10 visiting foreign researchers each year and publishes approximately 100 articles annually.
