Missions

- define the joint impact of aquifer pumping upstream of a Natura2000 classified area and climate change
- define a strategy for integrating distributed data (tracers) into hydrological models
- Improve the predictive capabilities of hydrological models: define new metrics and numerical evaluation experiments

Activities

- Contribute to the development of the python package hydromodpy, through different modules: (1) integrate heterogeneity in underground environments (2) integrate tracer modeling.
- Deploy a hydrogeological model, coupled with a hydrological model integrating a pumping module in the water table and defining the impact on the functioning of surface ecosystems
- Do fieldwork on the Ploemeur-Guidel hydrogeological observatory

Skills

- PhD in environmental sciences or geosciences.
- Skills required in modeling (modflow / python)

Work Context

The post-doc is part of the European BLUE TRANSITION project, which brings together 24 partners from 6 countries of the "North Sea", bringing together researchers, managers, territorial actors around 16 pilot sites in a common context of increasing pressures on coastal areas. It is also anchored in the SNO H+ observatory of Ploemeur-Guidel

Constraints and risks

The person must have spent at least 18 months abroad between May 1, 2020 and the start of the project.
