Job Description
Missions
You will join the ARCHIMEDIA research group at IRISA and contribute to the collaborative project TrustedNews (www.trustednews.fr) on media information analysis and fight against disinformation. You will be part of the project team with major academic and private-sector partners, contributing to bridge research in NLP and machine learning with media analytics applications and field tests. You will contribute to the definition, implementation and evaluation of research leads and of end-user applications.
Activity
Your main activities will cover:
• Design and implementation of NLP tools for media analytics
• Design and implementation of approaches to measure and quantify uncertainty in decisions made by large LLMs
• Contribute to the development of a LLM benchmark to assess value alignment
• Contribute to the design and implementation of evaluation protocols and methodology both in an academic context (objective metrics, international competitive benchmarks) and industry context (user studies)
Your Profil
Skills
You should hold a PhD degree with strong skills in machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing and large language models. You should master python-based AI frameworks such as pytorch, huggingface libraries. As part of an international team, you should be at ease with English and French in particular for the the analysis of language data in both languages. Autonomy in the organization of your work is expected.

Within IRISA, the ARCHIMEDIA research group is a joint venture between academic partners from CNRS, INSA Rennes and Université Bretagne Sud and the media group SIPA Ouest France. We develop research in natural language and image processing for media, focusing on knowledge extraction, media analytics and information quality.
