Job Description

Missions

The selected candidate will work in the frame of a regional project ESKYMO. His/her missions will include: the definition of the thin films characteristics in relation with the engineer for the growth of the oxide thin films, the thin film patterning in clean room, the magnetic anisotropy measurements, the surface morphology analysis, the magnetic sensors characterization

Activity

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing sample, experimental analysis, as well as coordination of the collaborative work with partners in and out of the lab, data interpretation and publication of the results

Your Work Environment

UMR 6072 GREYC (Groupe de Recherche en Informatique, Image et Instrumentation de Caen; CNRS - ENSICAEN - University of Caen Normandie) comprises approximately 160 members and conducts research in computer science and instrumentation.
The position is primarily based in the Electronics team of GREYC in Caen, France (20 permanent researcher and 3 permanent Engineers and Technician). The successful candidate will work within the functional oxide research group of 6 permanent staff members, 3 PhD students and 2 non-permanent researchers within the Electronics team. He/she will also collaborate with other teams on campus, in particular the CIMAP Laboratory (UMR 6252).
The functional oxide research group has achieved international recognition in bolometric and magnetic sensor design based on La2/3Sr1/3MnO3 (LSMO). The international visibility of these activities has led to support from several European, national, and regional projects, with current involvement in 1 Horizon Europe Doctoral Network, 2 regional projects, as well as the PEPR “Spintronics” program.

The position is located in a sector under the protection of scientific and technical potential (PPST), and therefore requires, in accordance with the regulations, that your arrival is authorized by the competent authority of the MESR
