The subject of this position is the continuous flow synthesis of aromatic molecules with physico-chemical properties particularly adapted to the SmartT project.
This recruitment is part of the INTERREG VA France Channel England project "SmartT" in collaboration with INSA Rouen, IFREMER, the University of Southampton and SplashMaps Ltd in the United Kingdom (https://www.channelmanche.com/fr/projets/projets/smart-textiles-for-regional-industry-and-smart-specialisation-sectors/ ).


- flow synthesis,
- NMR analysis, MS,...
- scientific and technical bibliography,
- writing of research articles,
- writing of reports and regular oral presentations (in particular to the project partners)


- Master in process engineering or organic chemistry,
- excellent level in English.

Work Context

The research work will take place in the COBRA UMR CNRS 6014 laboratory (University of Rouen Normandie/INSA Rouen Normandie/CNRS) located in the IRCOF building of the Mont-Saint-Aignan site (website: http://www.lab-cobra.fr/), and more particularly in the MESOO team.
The work will be supervised by Julien LEGROS, Research Director at the CNRS.

Constraints and risks

Work in chemistry with the usual constraints of organic chemistry (work in a ventilated fume hood, personal protective equipment, etc.).
