Missions

The candidate will carry out hydrodynamic simulations using lattice Boltzmann to study the dynamics of artificial microswimmers in complex fluids.

Activities

The main activities include setting up the problem, running the simulations and analysing the data. Further duties include, preparing articles for publication and presenting the results orally both in internal and external meetings.

The project will further include some amount of code development work and can include contributing to the supervising of doctoral or master students.

Skills

Expected competences include: Good experience in hydrodynamic simulations connected to soft materials, experience in lattice Boltzmann method and parallel programming.

Excellent communication skills in English or French is a must.

Work Context

The work will take place in the laboratory LOMA located in the Talence campus of the university of Bordeaux.
