Job Description
Missions
The broad aim of the investigation is to study ocean circulation in ice-shelf cavities and develop machine-learning techniques to emulate this circulation, with the ultimate goal of providing seaward boundary conditions for ice-sheet models.
Activity
The position allows significant flexibility that could suit independent and self-driven candidates.
Your Profil
Skills
Candidates must have received a Ph.D. in the climate sciences, applied math, or related physical science disciplines. Experience with at least some of the following is strongly desired:
Running ocean models
Building machine learning emulators
Running ice-sheet models
Analyzing climate model outputs

Your Work Environment
The postdoc will be based at the Physics Laboratory of Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon and will work primarily with Irena Vankova (ENS de Lyon) and Sebastian Rosier (University of Zurich).
