Missions

The selected candidate will be hired for a 6 months post-doc in order to conduct original research in accelerating sparse tensor computations on shared memory systems. The research will be done within the LIP laboratory (ENS de Lyon, France) in the ROMA team.

Activities

The objective is to study methods that exploit the sparsity of tensors to accelerate several computational kernels on shared memory systems. Novel methods will be designed, analyzed, and implemented with C/C++ following modern practices, with OpenMP runtime system.

Skills

The candidates must have obtained a PhD in computer science. Ideally, the candidate will already mastered some of the following topics or knowledgable in all: Sparse matrices, sparse tensors, and OpenMP. In relation with the above topics, an experience in implementation of algorithms on graphs and hypergraphs will be appreciated.

Work Context

The research will be conducted at the LIP laboratory (ENS de Lyon, France) within the ROMA team. Bora Uçar will be the supervisor, and the post-doc will have the chance to interact others in the team who are experts on high performance computing.
