The Cellular Signalling and Endocytosis (SiCE) team studies the role of anionic phospholipids in the regulation of membrane trafficking and cell division in plants. We combine biochemical, life imaging and molecular genetic approaches to understand aspects of plant development and cell biology (see Simon, Platre et al., 2016; Platre et al., 2018, Doumane et al., 2021).
The candidate will work in the framework of a collaborative ANR with the team of David Bouchez and Philippe Andrey (INRAe Versailles). He/she will set up optogenetic experiments to study the role of anionic lipids in cell division. He/she will participate in the development of high spatial and temporal resolution cell mapping of the dividing plant cell. The experiments and their analysis will be clearly detailed in a laboratory notebook, the experimental data obtained will be discussed and presented with the other members of the project and the team.
- The candidate should have a thesis in biology
-Proficiency in molecular biology techniques: cloning, PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, qPCR....
-Mastery of confocal microscopy techniques and image analysis
- Mastery of the culture and transformation of the model plant Arabidopsis
- Mastery of specialised computer tools for the quantification of cell biology data
- Mastery of the bibliography concerning cell division in plants
-English read, written and spoken.
-Have first author papers published or in progress
The RDP laboratory (Reproduction and Development of Plants) is a multi-tutelle joint research unit (CNRS, INRAE, ENS de Lyon, UCBL, and associated with INRIA) composed of 9 research teams (about 120 people). The laboratory is located on the Monod site of the ENS of Lyon. The researcher will be attached to the SiCe team headed by Yvon Jaillais. He/she will work under the direction of Marie-Cécile Caillaud and will also be required to work in collaboration and communicate with the teams of David Bouchez and Philippe Andrey (remotely). The candidate will evolve in a research team and will have to be involved in the organisation and present his/her results at meetings.
