Missions
The researcher will be responsible for characterizing lipid transfer proteins (LTPs) in plants from a biochemical and in silico perspective.
Activités
The researcher will characterize the protein-lipid interaction between LTP proteins and certain lipids, using protein production and purification techniques, followed by lipid interaction or transport tests. In addition, the researcher will use molecular dynamics, protein modeling, and phylogenetics to characterize these proteins and generate testable hypotheses about their interactions with lipids.
Compétences
Protein production and purification, and lipid manipulation: • Production and purification of recombinant proteins. • Purification of proteins under native conditions, followed by lipidomic analysis. • Preparation of synthetic membranes (liposomes/giant unilamellar vesicles). • Lipid transport tests. • Protein-lipid interaction tests. In silico analysis: • Protein modeling. • Molecular dynamics. • Phylogenetic analysis. Cross-disciplinary skills: • Autonomy: Ability to design, execute, and analyze results independently. • Teamwork: Excellent ability to integrate and collaborate within a team. • Scientific communication: Excellent ability to present results, both in writing and orally. • Languages: Fluent English (reading, writing, speaking).
Contexte de travail
The researcher will work within the SICE (Cell Signaling and Endomembrane) team at the Plant Reproduction and Development Laboratory (RPD, CNRS UMR 5667, Lyon), see https://www.ens-lyon.fr/RDP/signalisation-cellulaire-et-endomembranes/ Our added bonuses: • A stimulating work environment in contact with research staff • 44 days of vacation/RTT per year • A company restaurant offering lunch at an attractive price • Partial reimbursement of transportation costs (75%) + sustainable mobility allowance of up to €300/year • A site accessible by public transportation + private parking • Financial contribution to mutual insurance costs
