Missions

The selected engineer will have the mission of implementing and carrying out experiments in the field of molecular genetics of Arabidopsis and cell biology in plants. Particularly in the conception, production (genetic transformation) and analyzes of mutated plants (establishment and monitoring of lines, cloning, genetopyping, phenotyping).

Activités

Technical, logistical and conceptual support as part of an ERC project focusing on the role of the cytoskeleton in plant development and cell signaling. The engineer will work in close collaboration with the doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers and support their project

Compétences

The experiments will use the following techniques:
- Genetics (plant monitoring, crossing, seed harvesting, segregation analyses, lineage analysis)
- Molecular biology (cloning, genotyping)
- Phenotyping and use of image analysis software (imageJ) and statistics
- Exploitation and discussion of results with the team

- In-depth knowledge of biology (a specialization in plant biology will be a plus but is not a prerequisite)
- Mastery of office automation and scientific data research tools.
- Meeting in English

Interest in developing innovative experimental approaches.
- Ability to work within an international team.
- Be rigorous and organized, meticulous and autonomous, persevering and invested.
- Ability to work in support of several projects.

Contexte de travail

The RDP laboratory (Plant Reproduction and Development) is a mixed multi-supervisor research unit (CNRS, INRAE, ENS de Lyon, UCBL and associated with INRIA) made up of 8 research groups (around 140 people). The laboratory is located on the Monod site of the ENS de Lyon and has all the resources and infrastructure necessary for the site's missions.
