Missions

The European Institute of Membranes-IEM of Montpellier occupies an original position in the field of membrane materials and processes, by making the link between the synthesis of new materials and their functionalities as selective systems for the environment, health and the environment. energy. In this approach, the principles of supramolecular chemistry and dynamic constitutional chemistry come together to optimize the preparation of adaptive and functional membrane systems. One of the strong themes that emerges revolves around the problem of water and ions, their transport in confined environments, ionic forces, the importance of hydration and long-distance interactions, the measurement of osmotic pressure, etc.

Activities

The position is part of the DESALSEA project. The network is dedicated to the study of new membrane systems for water purification containing artificial water channels. Within the framework of the DESALSEA, we promote the creation of a IE position for a researcher (M/F) capable of carrying out cutting-edge research and who could in particular prepare and use highly selective membrane separations by various specific highly performant techniques.

Skills

The post doc (M/F) will ensure the design, preparation, characterization and evaluation of molecular and supramolecular systems used for the preparation of ionic and molecular channels in membranes. We are seeking for a candidate (M/F) with proven skills in physical chemistry to ensure a rapid and efficient investment in the design, preparation, characterization and evaluation of molecular compounds for the preparation of biomimetic membranes. Knowledge of organic chemistry / Materials chemistry/membranes will be particularly appreciated.

Work Context

The candidate (M/F) will be recruited on a full-time, 24-month fixed-term contract.

The position is located in a sector under the protection of scientific and technical potential (PPST), and therefore requires, in accordance with the regulations, that your arrival is authorized by the competent authority of the MESR.
