Job Description
Missions
The person recruited will perform the duties of a researcher within the framework of a partnership with ITERG.
Activity
The BioMaTMeca project aims to design new high-performance bio-based polymers. The project strategy will combine various bio-based building blocks, particularly those derived from plant oils and lignin, to synthesize novel semi-crystalline polymers, especially polyamide, polyester, and polyurethane (isocyanate-free). These polymers could be used as alternatives to petroleum-based derivatives currently found on the materials and formulation additives market. Physicochemical characterization of the polymers will establish structure-property relationships, enabling the positioning of these new materials within a value chain, particularly for the thermoplastic elastomer market.
Your Profil
Skills
- Good knowledge of macromolecular chemistry
- Good knowledge of the study and characterization of polymer materials
- Good knowledge of biomass
Your Work Environment
The project, entitled BIOMATMECA, will take place at the LCPO within team 2, 'Biopolymers and Bio-based Polymers', in collaboration with ITERG (Pessac). This project is funded by the Carnot 3BCAR.
