Missions

Post-doctoral work in the framework of the ANR SMolMagIC in the SEM team of the LCPQ in close collaboration with the theoretical researchers of the group and the experimentalists of the laboratories associated with the project

Activities

Precise calculation of anisotropy parameters in polynuclear complexes:
- analytical developments necessary to understand the mechanisms at the origin of the phenomena;
- implementation of a methodology allowing, from CI calculations whose nature will have been specified in the previous step, the precise extraction of parameters;
- application to complexes synthesized and characterized by our collaborators;
- presentation of the approach and the results in conferences;
- writing of articles

Skills

PhD in theoretical chemistry with a good knowledge of wave function based computational methods, strong programming and analytical derivation skills and a very strong motivation

Work Context

The Laboratory of Quantum Chemistry and Physics is a joint unit of the CNRS and the University of Toulouse 3 and is located on the university campus. It includes about thirty researchers and teacher-researchers who all work in the field of theoretical chemistry.
The Extended System and Magnetism group includes 4 researchers and teacher-researchers plus 2 emeritus DR who are mainly interested in magnetic systems.
