Job Description
Missions
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing the
high-pressure hydraulic equipment required for the overall operation of the system. The installation phase
will involve both the hydraulic component (connecting the equipment to the system) and the automation component (ensuring the equipment operates in sync with the rest of the system). Following this installation phase, the work will continue with a phase to characterize the energy performance of the overall system and, if possible, to study different operating conditions.
Activity
- Analyze the operating principles of the overall system and understand the specifications for the auxiliary hydraulic equipment.
- Oversee the development of the auxiliary equipment, procurement of materials (contacting suppliers), design of adapter parts, and ensure operational safety.
- Implement this auxiliary equipment and integrate it into the overall system.
- Conduct measurement campaigns to characterize the overall operation of the system.
Your Profil
Skills
The successful candidate must:
- hold an engineering degree and, ideally, a Ph.D.,
- possess solid knowledge of hydraulics and hydraulic system technologies, ideally supplemented by knowledge of process engineering,
- have skills in instrumentation and automation and an affinity for these fields; knowledge of the Python programming language is highly desirable,
- enjoy working independently as well as collaboratively within a research team,
- enjoy challenges and innovation,
- be proactive in proposing solutions to technological problems.
Your Work Environment
The work will be carried out at the Interdisciplinary Physics Laboratory. The laboratory is a joint CNRS/University of Grenoble Alpes unit. It focuses extensively on the interfaces between physics and other disciplines, particularly the life sciences and environmental sciences, mechanics, and applied mathematics. The work will take place within the MODI team (Soft Matter, Organization, Dynamics, and Interfaces) as part of research dedicated to nanofluidics and the associated societal challenges concerning water remediation and the development of new sources of renewable energy.
The position falls under the Scientific and Technical Potential Protection (PPST) sector and therefore, in accordance with regulations, requires that your arrival be authorized by the competent authority of the MESR.
