Job Description
Missions
The recruited postdoc will identify the links between signaling and infection during symbiosis
Activity
The recruited postdoctoral research will identify the protein complexes formed by signaling components upstream of transcription factors. This includes designing and building DNA constructs, genetic transformation of Marchantia, identification of interacting proteins by TurboID and biochemical validations.
The recruited postdoc will present her/his work to diverse audience through seminars (team, department, national and international conferences) and publications.

Skills

- Team spirit and enthusiasm for science
- A PhD in plant – microbe interaction, plant evo-devo or related fields
- Experience with TurboID in plants, if possible in Marchantia
- Experience with Marchantia species manipulation and genetic transformation
- Experience with protein – protein interaction studies and protein purification
- Demonstrated scientific writing skills
Your Work Environment
The recruited postdoctoral researcher will join the ERC ORIGINS team as part of the “Evolution of plant – microbe interactions” group (EVO) led by Pierre-Marc Delaux at the LRSV (UMR5546), in Toulouse. In this interdisciplinary group, the postdoc will benefit from dedicated technical support including molecular biology and cloning, plant transformation and bioinformatics. The postdoctoral researcher will have direct access to a state of the art microscopy facility, plant growth facilities, and fully furnished molecular biology and biochemistry labs.
The LRSV is part of the Labex TULIP, that includes six institutes covering topics from ecology and evolutionary biology to genetics add cell biology, providing a stimulating scientific environment.
