The candidate will work under the direct supervision of Karim Majzoub on a project focused on Deltaviruses, a family of viruses discovered recently in several animal species, whose human representative is Hepatitis Delta virus. This project, funded by the ATIP-AVENIR grant (CNRS/INSERM), is part of an international scientific collaboration with researchers from Harvard University (USA) and Helsinki University (Finland).
Activities
- Purification and identification of proteins associated with viral genomes in different cell models (human, rodent, avian, snake and insect).
- CRISPR and RNAi genetic screens
- Viral production and infection in L-3 containment laboratory
- Microscopy (RNA, proteins)
- Classical molecular and cell biology techniques: cloning, Flow cytometry, cell culture, RT-qPCR, western blot.
