Job Description

Missions

This postdoctoral position is in the area of lattice-based cryptography, with a particular focus on post-quantum constructions. The successful candidate will conduct research on threshold cryptographic schemes and masking techniques, within frameworks relying on the hardness of computational problems over Euclidean lattices.

The project aims at the design, security analysis, and optimization of threshold schemes (e.g., threshold signatures, distributed decryption) that are secure against quantum adversaries, while integrating masking mechanisms to enhance resistance against side-channel attacks. The research will address both theoretical aspects (security proofs, reductions, formal models) and practical considerations (efficiency, implementation, and experimental validation).

The postdoctoral researcher will also contribute to the dissemination of research results through publications in leading international conferences and journals, and will actively participate in the scientific activities of the host team.

Activity

The activities of the recruited person will be part of the ANR RELATE project, particularly in the following areas:
- Study of existing maskable and threshold primitives
- Design of new primitives with improved properties
- Participation in working groups on cryptography based on Euclidean lattices
- Writing scientific articles and participating in conferences in the field

Skills

- Algorithmic number theory
- Cryptology (based on Euclidean lattices) and secret sharing schemes
- Autonomy and initiative
- English

Your Work Environment

The successful candidate will join the LIRMM ECO team and conduct research as part of the ANR RELATE project, which focuses on the study of cryptographic primitives based on Euclidean lattices that can be effectively masked and implemented using a "threshold" approach.
