Job Description
Missions
The main mission is to develop methods for the automatic evaluation and generation of memory tests, as well as new Cell-Aware (CA) type characterization and test models for elementary cells and logic gates that make up advanced SRAM memories. The goal is to improve the coverage of realistic defects related to advanced manufacturing technologies, going beyond the functional fault models traditionally used. These models will have to integrate the information from the layout to allow better detection and diagnosis of physical defects affecting memories.
Activity
Activities will include the analysis of the architectures and logic cells that make up SRAM memories, the identification and modeling of physical defects that may affect them, the generation of Cell-Aware models that integrate technology and layout information, as well as the development of digital testing solutions to automate or accelerate the evaluation and production of memory tests. Given the number and diversity of the cells to be characterized, evaluation techniques will be studied and implemented in order to automate or accelerate the analysis of the coverage of these models at scale. The developed models will then be used to improve the testing and diagnostic processes of SRAM memories.
Your Profil
Skills
- SRAM technology and architecture
- Memory test and diagnostic methodologies
- CAD tools (Cadence, Synopsys)
- Programming
Your Work Environment
The recruited person will carry out his work within the LIRMM TEST team. The TEST team works on the quality, reliability and testability of microelectronic systems after their manufacture. His research focuses on the effects of advanced and emerging technologies, including CMOS (FDSOI/FinFET) technologies, 3D integration and new memories, taking into account the issues of complexity, manufacturing variability, energy consumption and security. The work leads in particular to new fault models, monitoring tools, test-oriented design methods and hardware architectures to monitor systems throughout their lifetime.
