Job Description
Missions
The successful candidate will join the 'ESPROTER' programme (Problem Species and Territory), funded by the Isle et Crempse Community of Communes in Périgord, the International College of Territorial Sciences and the CNRS, and will contribute to its management.
- The main task is to assess the relationship between residents of a specific area in Périgord and species considered problematic: invasive species and species likely to cause damage.
- A science-society mediation scheme must also be established to involve residents in the nature policies implemented by the local authority;
- Local experience must be translated into a replicable methodological approach.
Activity
- Surveys and interviews ;
- Processing of survey data, textual analysis;
- Graphical representation of results;
- Production of original images of the area;
- GIS, cartography;
- Presentations, animations and public engagement ;
- Dissemination of results.
Your Profil
Skills
- Knowledge of the relevant stakeholders;
- Knowledge of survey and technical interviews;
- Ability to develop innovative methods;
- Statistical skills;
- GIS skills;
- Experience of supervising work placements and/or apprenticeships;
- Ability to coordinate projects.
Your Work Environment
- The successful candidate will work at the CNRS laboratory, UMR 5319 PASSAGES, located at Maison des Suds, Esplanade des Antilles in PESSAC, on the Bordeaux Montaigne Campus.
- Regular travel to and stays in Périgord region will be required.
