Missions
This position concerns a 2 years contract for the development of experiments on complex biomolecular objects using ultrashort pulses to achieve the best time resolution currently available: the attosecond. This will involve setting up a new beamline, unique in the world, combining XUV ultrashort pulses coupled with methods for producing and manipulating molecular ions. This instrument is part of the PEPR LUMA X-2M facility and will be open to the scientific community.
Activités
The recruited person will have to develop a state-of-the-art attosecond beamline allowing the study of complex biomolecules. He or she will also be involved in welcoming users to the X-2M facility. He or she will participate in scientific meetings and meetings on the development of the X-2M facility. The position will allow him or her to widely develop his or her network and skills in a field at the frontier of current photophysics.
Compétences
The candidate must have skills in ultrafast optics, physics and/or physical-chemistry. Knowledge of time-resolved spectroscopy is an advantage. The successful candidate is expected to have excellent scientific communication skills, the ability to work in a team and be motivated to work in a competitive, state-of-the-art scientific field.
Contexte de travail
The Institut Lumière Matière (iLM) is a CNRS-Université Lyon 1 research unit located on the Lyon Tech La Doua campus. With over 300 employees, including around 100 doctoral and postdoctoral students, the iLM is a major player in physics and chemistry research in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, internationally recognized for the excellence of its research.
The DYNAMO team is internationally recognized for its work on the development of attosecond physics in complex molecular systems. The recruited candidate will have access to unique equipment, combining a femtosecond laser system, HHG sources, and methods for manipulating complex molecular ions. This position offers the opportunity to develop interdisciplinary expertise in fields ranging from molecular physics to ultrafast science and ion spectroscopy and trapping methods.
Le poste se situe dans un secteur relevant de la protection du potentiel scientifique et technique (PPST), et nécessite donc, conformément à la réglementation, que votre arrivée soit autorisée par l'autorité compétente du MESR.
