Missions

The CNRS is looking for a project manager to coordinate a European project on wound healing. The person recruited will be responsible for coordination, communication within the research teams and with external stakeholders, and administrative management.

Working alongside the Scientific Coordinator, the Project Manager will assist her in coordinating the project. He/she will be responsible for leading the consortium and facilitating its general operation in accordance with the terms of the Grant Agreement and the Consortium Agreement. These duties will cover a range of tasks linked to the organizational, administrative, financial and legal management of the project, as well as communication. The project manager will work in close collaboration with the relevant CNRS departments and partners.

Activities

o Project coordination and communication
- Supervise the administrative implementation of the project and monitoring of its work plan;
- Prepare, monitor and update the management tools required for project management (methodological guide to procedures, collaborative space, etc.);
- Act as intermediary between the European Commission and the consortium;
- Implement internal (mailing, videoconferences, etc.) and external (preparation of press releases, website coordination, etc.) communication actions;
- Organize and manage communications for consortium meetings, summer schools and workshops;
- Draft agendas and minutes for consortium meetings.

o Administrative and financial management
- Assist the LBTI and the partners with the administrative aspects of the project, monitor the application of administrative rules and procedures specific to Horizon Europe and those of the CNRS;
- Monitor the production of deliverables and participate in the drafting of activity reports;
- Monitor expenditure in liaison with the relevant departments (breakdown and transfer of funds, updating and monitoring of the budget, internal financial summaries, etc.);
- Coordinate the preparation, consolidation and submission of financial reports in liaison with the relevant departments and within the deadlines specified by the European Commission;
- Ensure that all supporting documentation is properly prepared and retained by CNRS and each partner, in anticipation of any audits.

o Legal follow-up
- Ensure compliance with the obligations set out in the grant agreement and consortium agreement;
- Monitor and update contractual documents (amendments) in liaison with the relevant departments;
- Inform and advise partners on legal issues.

Skills

- Diploma: Minimum bac+3, MSc or equivalent (European affairs or European and international studies). A mixed profile with research experience would be a plus.
- Excellent command of English is essential (written and spoken).
- Knowledge of the European institutional environment and the national and European research landscape, experience in European/international project management appreciated.
- Mastery of communication tools (website, social networks, policy briefs, press releases, etc.), office tools (MS Office, LibreOffice).
- Writing skills
- Ability to work in a team and in a multicultural context
- Highly autonomous, organized, rigorous and responsive.

Work Context

The CNRS is recruiting a part-time Project Manager (50%) for a renewable 36-month period to implement and monitor a collaborative project: the 'REMOD-HEALING' project in the field of biology is funded by the European Commission (Horizon Europe) via the MCSA-Doctoral Network call. It is coordinated by the LBTI (UMR 5305, CNRS - Université de Lyon, Lyon) and brings together 12 European partners.

You will be based at the Tissue Biology and Therapeutic Engineering Laboratory (LBTI), 7, passage du Vercors, Lyon 7.
