Job Description
Missions
Contribute to research projects investigating the links between sleep, cognitive development and learning in children and adolescents. The studies are conducted primarily in schools, in partnership with educational staff and families.
Under the supervision of the project's researchers, the research assistant helps organise field studies by contacting schools, scheduling study visits and preparing data collection materials. The successful candidate supports data collection with pupils using questionnaires, sleep diaries, activity monitoring devices and cognitive tests. They help ensure that assessments run smoothly, participants are followed up, and the data collected are of high quality.
The role involves regular communication with research teams, schools and families, as well as travel to participating schools.
Activity
Organise data collection, prepare and manage sleep monitoring equipment, assist with assessments specified in the study protocol, and enter and check the data.
Your Profil
Skills
Methodological rigour, strong organisational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with children, families and partner organisations. Proficiency with office software and adherence to confidentiality requirements.
Your Work Environment
The position is based at the Lyon Neuroscience Research Center (CRNL), within a team studying sleep and cognition.
Constraints and risks
Travel to data collection sites may be required. Working hours may occasionally be adjusted to accommodate families' availability, and the role involves handling sensitive data. No specific risks have been identified beyond those associated with travel and screen-based work.
